Janet Rita Lee

Janet Rita Ramsay Lee Nov. 29,1921 – Oct. 3 2015 Janet Rita Ramsay Lee passed peacefully on Oct. 3, 2015. A lifelong Mobilian, she was born to Daniel Holder Ramsay and Anna Pauline Day Ramsay. Proceeded in death by her husband John Robert Lee Sr. and survived by; 4 sons, John Robert Jr.(Patty) David Michael(Lynn), Jerome Edward(Patty) and Thomas Francis(Maureen); seven grandchildren; Georgia Ann Briggs (Brian), Jafe and Grace Mettleson-Lee, Danielle and Alanna Lee and Genny Lee Parrish (Ross) and Chris Lee. And five great grandchildren; Xander, Clair, Jamie, Tyler and Blake. Janet attended Barton Academy and Murphy High, worked at Brookley during WWll, she also worked in retail for 47 years starting with Hammel’s and continuing with D.H. Holmes and Dillards. Janet retired at the age of 89. Besides being a devoted Catholic, Janet was also a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Affectionately known as “Nanny or Aunt Janet”. Janet also had special care-givers in ; Pat Setterstrom (niece), Gwen Byrd (niece), Pat Harper, Ann Alonzo and Sally Trufant. Janet was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church and a former member of St. Catherines Catholic Church. Services for Janet will be held on Sat.
