Jacqueline Livingston Scott, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 in Mobile, Alabama. She was born to Samuel Burl Livingston and Florence Adele Livingston on August 8, 1937 in Birmingham, Alabama. Jackie graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile, where she met her future husband, Ronald P. Scott. She retired as a branch manager with Citibank Financial after 44 years. Jackie had an incredible work ethic, and loved her job. She and Ronnie were homebodies. Jackie was an avid gardener – she could tell you what any flower was in her garden. She was a lover of music, and had a very eclectic ear. Jackie also had a flare for clothing, and enjoyed dressing to the nines every day. Above all else: Jackie loved her family. They would travel together, going to the beach for a week every year, and taking a trip as a family to New York. She especially loved Christmas-time, when her entire family would gather to celebrate. Jackie even had a room designated for Christmas decorations! She was one of the most generous souls one could ever meet. Jackie was kind, selfless, classy, and graceful. She is greatly loved, and will be missed.
Jackie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Ronald Preston Scott; her son, Dennis Michael Scott; parents, Samuel and Florence Livingston; sisters, Betty (Sid) Hinckle and Burline (Billy) Schieffelin; and one brother, Burl (Margaret) Livingston.
