Hope Louise Perez Kennedy

Hope Louise Perez Kennedy – A native and lifelong resident of Mobile, died Friday, March 4, 2011, in a local hospital. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, she will be greatly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Patrick “Buck” Kennedy, Jr.; her son, James Patrick Kennedy, III; her parents, Mary Louise Moll Perez and Jesus Perez; three brothers and one sister. Survivors include her children, Sr. Deborah Kennedy, R.S.M., Joseph D. (Sherri) Kennedy, Yvonne L. Kennedy, and Michael A. (Chris) Kennedy; two grandchildren, Joseph “Joey” D. Kennedy, Jr. and Megan C. Kennedy; her nieces, Ellen Straughn McCarron (god child) and Pam Golemon; her nephew, Michael W. Straughn; other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Corpus Christi Catholic Church on Monday, March 7, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mercy Medical, P. O. Box 1090, Daphne, AL 36526, in gratitude for the compassionate care received. The family wishes especially to offer deepest appreciation to the staff at John McClue Snook Memory Care Center, her extended family for the past year.
