Donald Ray Jordan, Jr., a devoted husband and father went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 5, 2023. Don was born in Dothan, Alabama and lived most of his life in Mobile, Alabama. He attended Marion Military Institute and University of South Alabama where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Brotherhood. He was President of Jordan Pile Driving, Inc. Don was a long time Director of both Mobile County Road Builders and Mobile Section, AGC. He also served as President of Mobile County Road Builders Association and President of Mobile Section, Alabama AGC for several years. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, boating, cycling and fishing. He was one of the founding fathers of the BMX track in Dothan. Don loved spending time on the field with his son, Will, coaching his baseball and football teams, and he cherished making a lasting impact on his son and the lives of his teammates. Don had his own style and sense of humor that radiated wherever he went. He is preceded in death by his Uncle Michael Hallford and cousin Davis Hallford. He is survived by his father, Donald Ray Jordan, Senior; mother, Marilyn Davis Holland; his wife of 31 years, Katie Cole Jordan; son, Will; daughter, Millie (fiancé Brandon Judy); and sister, Tessa Baehr. Visitation will be at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church’s Parish Hall from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 11th, with services to follow in the sanctuary at 11:00 a.m. Special thanks to Pastor Ben Stubblefield of Springhill Baptist Church and Reverend Brad Clark of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for officiating and helping us celebrate Don’s life.
