Daniel attended St. Paul’s High School and graduated from McGill Toolen High School, Class of 2002. Following graduation, he attended Auburn University and graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona in 2007. Additionally, he received certifications from Wisconsin School of Business in Healthcare Philanthropy.
Daniel began his professional career as a sales associate at Planet Nissan Subaru, Flagstaff, Arizona and Palmer’s Toyota in Mobile, Alabama. Daniel’s true passion was in service to others. In 2015, Daniel began a new career in healthcare philanthropy as a Marketing and Physicians’ Liaison with Southern Cancer Center, the Executive Director of the Anchor Cross Cancer Foundation, and the Executive Director of the Special Needs Foundation of America, in the Mobile/Daphne, Alabama area. At the time of his death, Daniel was the Development Specialist for Information Services and Community Outreach for the National Veterans Foundation in Los Angeles, California. He was the recipient of numerous awards including Movers and Shakers from Business Alabama and Community Leader of the Year from the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce.
Daniel was a self-taught artist and guitarist. He brought joy to all who knew him through his artwork and music. Daniel was filled with compassion, and as such, he loved deeply his patients, friends, animals, and, most of all, his large, extended family. He was an advocate for children, education, human rights, health, the environment, animal welfare and arts and culture.
Daniel is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Olive (Tee) and Wallace Meshad, his maternal grandparents, Colonel C.F. and Isabelle Primm, his uncle, Fletcher Primm, and his cousin, Brandi Meshad.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two brothers, Matthew Wallace Meshad (Bonnie) of Atlanta, Georgia and John Wallace Meshad (Nichole) of Athens, Georgia; nephews, Winston Meshad, William Meshad and Griffin Leadbetter of Atlanta, Georgia and Michael and John Wallace Meshad of Athens, Georgia, nieces, Ann Radford Meshad and Ava Leadbetter of Atlanta, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Barbara Meshad Dooley (Vincent), and Karen Meshad Baldwin (Norman) of Athens, Georgia, John Meshad (Elaine) of Sarasota, Florida, and Wanda Primm of Daphne, Alabama and a host of beloved cousins and friends.
A celebration of life mass will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 12:00 Noon with visitation immediately prior beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish, 6300 McKenna Drive, Mobile, Alabama. Following the celebration of life mass, burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, 1202 Virginia Street, Mobile, Alabama.
Serving as pallbearers will be Winston Meshad, William Meshad, Griffin Leadbetter, Ryan Hill, Jacob Palmer and Jennings Lawler. Honorary pallbearers are John Lawler, John Galanos (Chico), Dr. Stephen Davis, Dr. Michael Davis, Dr. Grant Zarzour and Gavin Meshad.
