Clifton Holifield

Clifton Holifield- native of Quitman, MS, residing in Mobile, AL for the past 55 years died at home on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 3:10 p.m. He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Odell Holifield; brothers: Loyd “Mutt” Holifield, Tom Holifield, Leo Holifield, Ervin Holifield, and Jimmydale Holifield; and sister, Lucielle Schrimpshire. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Pearl Fincher Holifield; children: Jackie Holifield (Rita), of Wilmer, AL, Wayne Holifield (Leigh) of Theodore, AL, and Peggy Loyd (Randy) of Monroeville, AL; grandchildren: Clifton Holifield (Amy), Johnny Holifield (Emily), Crystal Kelly (Jonathan), Justin Holifield, Kyndal Coleman (Chad), and Chase Stuckey; five great-grandchildren; sister, Marylou Carney; nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
