I never met the man. But I know of his incredible legacy. And that is enough to garner my full admiration. Thank you sir.  And to family members my condolences. You especially, Hyacinth.  <3

The world lost a very special man this week.  Sorry I could not be at the service.  Doug and Sylvia have always been right there for my Mom and our family.  During the time my Dad was sick, they were truly a blessing to us.  We will never forget the kindness and love that both Doug and Sylvia have shown our family over the years. Doug was a rare breed,a true gentleman with a kind, loving spirit. Loved his sense of duty to the neighborhood (Community Action Group), and his quick wit and sense of humor.

Doug was one of the good guys!  I met him when I first went to work for State Farm.  He was sweet and kind and did not mind showing you how to do things. So sorry for your loss of a great man.

Doug & I crossed paths when we both worked at the State Farm Bham Regional Office, although we never actually worked together.  Doug was witty, funny, & always upbeat.  He made work fun - a great guy.  I'm sorry I didn't get to see him again.  God bless his family.  PS. It's been great reading the comments from the State Farm folks.  I miss Doug, & I miss you!

We did not know Doug but seeing his picture and hearing stories from Kathi make him real and lovable and we send our sympathies and prayers to all -- that you are comforted in losing him by the memories you carry.

Doug was assigned storm duty in Tuscaloosa after a tornado hit in the 70's. His charm and work habits were great. At the end of claims, all were settled with dignity and fairness. Doug knew people and how to make them feel good about their settlement outcome.

Doug was a true gentleman,husband, father and  friend. He spoke of his family in every conversation we had.  Every person I know who knew Doug had a Doug Osborne story they like to tell. I have many. It was an honor to work for him but it never felt he was your boss but a friend.  I'm sorry that I did look him up. My prays go out to the family.

I am sorry to hear of Doug's passing.  My deepest sympathy and condolences.  I met Doug during my time at State Farm.  May God bring comfort to you all.

Praying for your family & all of Doug's many friends!  I had the opportunity to work with Doug several times throughout the years with State Farm.  He was a favorite of mine. May God bless you with sweet peace & comfort thru your many memories.

I'll be thinking of each of you and this is very sad news for anyone that knew him.  A hard worker, very dedicated to his family and I have to add the fact that he was such a clown.  He was so much like George.
