Mr. Charles Edward Ladnier, Sr., age 90, of Mobile, AL, entered into rest Sunday, March 27, 2016, at Providence Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 31, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Saint Pius X Catholic Church in Mobile, AL. Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery. Father Savoir will officiate. Mr. Ladnier was a life-long resident of Mobile. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II, where he was training to be a pilot. He was in aircraft maintenance at Bates Field, and retired from International Paper Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Diemert Ladnier; son, Charles Edward (Skip) Ladnier, Jr.; and his parents Lawrence Elliot Ladnier, Sr. and Joan Bagby Wright Ladnier. Mr. Ladnier was an avid talk radio listener and devoted fan of the “Uncle Henry Show”. Mr. Ladnier is survived by his daughter, Julie (Jimmy) Shinn; nieces, Renee Ladnier Boltz, Gina Guerrieri, and Renee Guerrieri; Pam (Ray) Riddell; Gail Guerrieri; nephews, Lawrence “Skipper” (Susie) Ladnier, III, Steven (Karon) Ladnier, David (Joyce) Ladnier, Mark (Becky) Ladnier, and Marc Guerrieri; and sister-in-law, Joan (Vaughn) Brennan.
