Carl Hudson Cox Sr.

Carl grew up in Mobile and moved in his late teens to Houston where he remained. He was a retired Butcher working for various meat markets. He enjoyed sports, from playing football in high school, was a swimmer and diver. Carl was very athletic and was a former amateur boxer and became a trainer for up and coming new boxers. He loved taking his son to his horse shows throughout Texas.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Harmon and Maggie Lou Wilson Cox and his brothers, Robert, Gerald, Ronald and David Cox.

He is survived by his son, Carl Hudson Cox, III of Houston, Texas; sisters, Mary Jo Bohannon of Mobile, Alabama and Carolyn Dalby (Robert) of Darien, Georgia and a brother, Harold Cox (June) of Maryville, Tennessee, also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives, family and friends.
