She was a native of Mobile, AL and graduated from Satsuma High School in 1960. She married that same year and soon after, she started her family. Barbara was a dedicated mother, wife and even more so, a dedicated and faithful Christian. She was a full-time working mom and a talented pianist, accordion and organ player with a beautiful singing voice, all of which she used in service to the Lord.

Barbara’s job with International Paper transferred her to Dallas, Texas in 1980. From there she hired on with Weyerhaeuser in Hot Springs, AR. She and Bill remained in Arkansas until 2009 when they moved back to Mobile so her eldest daughter could help her with her care. No matter the trials she faced, she never turned her back on God and never lost sight of her ultimate goal... to live eternally with the King of kings
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
Barbara’s daughter, Denise, would like to convey her deepest heart felt gratitude to a very special young woman, Kaylee Cox, of Southern Care Hospice. Kaylee took care of Barbara as her hospice nurse. She went above and beyond to make sure that Barbara’s needs were met and treated her as if she were her own mother. She would be at her bedside at any hour she was needed and spent many nights sitting with Barbara and Denise in Barbara’s last moments. Kaylee, the family cannot thank you enough for the attention and care you gave Barbara during this past year and for being at her bedside in her final hours. May God bless you and continue to lead and guide you in this special calling He has placed in your heart to help His children in their time of need.
