Mr. Smith was an amazing man. Honestly he was a customer for me. But he left an impression on my whole staff. We all loved him and he will be missed!! He was one of a kind.

All of us in the Merryville High School Class of 1958 are going to miss Bo. Many of us were together for twelve years under the guidance of wonderful parents and teachers. They were excellent role models as we played, studied, and grew up in the small town of Merryville, Louisiana and the surrounding farms. Bo was always a strong and tough boy, but at the same time he was a kind and caring friend. He was the drummer in the high school band that kept us marching to the beat! I was blessed to have Bo as a friend and neighbor. He was an inspiration as he struggled with the loss of his wife, Tanya, and his two sisters, Barbara Sue and Lillian, and later as he fought his courageous battle with cancer. We will miss him, but it is comforting to know that he is resting in heavenly peace now with no more pain and sadness. Wish we could have been with you for his service, but please know that you are in our thought and prayers. May you be comforted by God’s love and many happy memories.

We remember our classmate, Bo at Merryville High School graduation in May, 1958.

Bo was one of the best men I have ever known. He was one of my best friends and like a second father to me. He was a grandfather figure to my sons. I miss him so much but I am so grateful that he is not in pain any longer.  Love you Bo.
