Antonina “Nina” Francis Calabresi Smith Robison, age 84, passed peacefully at her home in Semmes Alabama, March 24, 2020. She was born in New Orleans, La on January 21, 1936 to Immigrants from Sicily Italy, father, Angelo Calabresi and mother, Catherine Musso Calabresi. Nina was a retired bookkeeper at USGC Bates Field Base and attended St Peter and Paul Catholic School, and St James Major Church. She traveled and lived in Mobile, San Juan Puerto Rico, Governs Island NY and Semmes AL, loved God, family, friends, church, baking cakes, being on the go and her pet dog Daisey. Nina was a member of Trinity Baptist Church since 1973.
Nina was preceded in death by her, first husband, William Calvin Smith; second husband, Samuel Robison; sister, Nadine Calabresi Carmouche; brothers, Roy Calabresi Sr and Salvador Calabresi; and granddaughter, Amber Smith Hardy.
Nina is survived by her, sons, Johnny and Michael Smith, Sandra and Gloria (Daughters-n-law); brother, Anthony Calabresi; four grandsons; nine great-granddaughters; eight great-grandsons; special family friend, Jaucille Brubaker; two nieces; seven nephews; and numerous other extended family and friends.
A graveside service for Nina will occur Saturday, March 28, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery followed by interment. Rev Donald Williamson will officiate.
