Ann was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and was reared in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She attended Louisiana Tech where she met the love of her life, Philip Jung. They were married on August 24, 1968, more than 50 years ago. She moved to Mobile the same year.
Ann was highly gifted by the Lord our God. She was a friend to many, a gifted teacher of children, a Bible scholar, a faithful friend, encourager, challenger, organizer, planner, servant to others, hospitable, direct, energetic, and complete with the gift of discernment. She used the gifts God gave her to serve others.
Ann is survived by her husband, Philip Jung, daughters Ann-Marie Townsend Jung Ramsey and Lydia Owen Jung, one son by special arrangement A. J. Evans (Davina), one grandson Philip Burton Townsend Jung, three granddaughters Caroline Louise Ramsey, and Nah'yawna and Skylyn Evans. She is also survived by two brothers Don Townsend (Jenny), Bill Townsend (Andrea), and one sister Mary Hemard (Bryan). Her family also included many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.

A service celebrating her life will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church where she was an active member. Visitation begins at 10am Saturday, June 29 followed by a celebration of her life in Jesus Christ at 12 noon. The church is located at 2651 Spring Hill Avenue, Mobile, Alabama, 36607. Interment will follow in Bay Minette Cemetery, Bay Minette, Alabama
