Ann Lowery Jones - After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Ann Lowery Jones went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2018 at the age of 82. She was welcomed in heaven by her loving husband of 61 years, Frank Jones. Mrs. Jones was a wonderful wife and loving devoted mother.
She was born on February 26, 1936 in Helena, AL. She moved to Mobile in 1962. In 1976, she graduated from the University of South Alabama with a teaching degree and was a Kindergarten teacher. She enjoyed teaching little children, sang in the church choir for many years and sang with the "Sweet Adelines". Mrs. Jones's hobby was writing poetry and she wrote a book of poems entitled "Inspired Poems From God". She and her husband enjoyed spending time with their family at the beach house in Gulf Shores, AL. Her kindness and radiant smile will be missed by everyone. We have faith she is at peace with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and we are at peace knowing that she is no longer suffering and look forward to the day we meet again.
She is survived by and her daughters, Sarita Ladner (Steve) and Tammy Liles (Terry) and her son Christopher Jones. Her grandchildren Brian Ladner (April), Laura Ladner (fiance-Greg Wilson), and Brandon Liles, and three great grandsons Bo, Jake, and Gus, also survived by nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Special thank you to Greta Love for her compassionate care of Mrs. Jones during the time of illness.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Uriel Lowery, her three sisters and brother.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm at Pine Crest Funeral Home Mobile, AL Funeral Services will be held in the chapel of Pine Crest Funeral Home on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 3:00pm.
