William L Grant (Lucky Will) was born on October 28, 1973 in Onslow County (Camp Lejeune) North Carolina, to William Lee Grant Jr (deceased) and Toni Anderson. William picked up nicknames from birth and until he was 14 he was called Coco or Coke by family. At 15 he decided he wanted to be called William or Will. With age, new adventures, and many travels all over the world, he became known as “Lucky Will” and the name stuck.
Will attended Trabuco Hills High School (Mission Viejo, CA Class of ’91), Saddleback College (Mission Viejo, CA), and obtained his BA in Graphic Art/Design from The Art Institute of California. After completing his education, Will found his niche at Lendward as a Dealer Support Manager.
Will loved his friends, all things sports but was a devoted Bears fan and loved travel, photography, and a hearty laugh. Whether he was playing football with Beach City Sports, floating on the river, a backyard BBQ, Baby Shower, Wedding, Sporting event, concert or show, Will was the life of it all. If it was a good time with good people, Will was there, usually with fireball on deck.
Making friends wherever he went wasn’t something he had to try to do, some things just are.
For Will, his friends were also his family and to know him was to love him. He has been known as the smile to light up every room, the hug that could heal any wound; and always the life of every party. His strait forward approach, listening ear and shoulder to cry on, strength, and hope will be remembered by all who knew him.
Will is survived by the love of his life Sarah Miller, his mother Toni Grant, brother Dwayne Grant (Paulesia), sisters Melony Schierenberg (Nathan Van Horn) and Sonda Coote (Horace), as well as a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, God-children, and friends that became family.
