For Mike’s Family and Friends...I am just finding out that Mike has completed his Earthly journey. I am so terribly sorry for your loss. Mike and I knew each other from Navy time in Bethesda where I was a contractor. My husband (Army) was stationed at the Pentagon then. He was the kindest, most helpful and sweet person. He needed a place to stay for a few months at the end of his tour (before heading back to CA) and we were happy to let him stay in our basement apartment in Virginia. He was so good with our kids and helpful and respectful around our home. He was thoughtful too when he’d taken short trips abroad, he brought back souvenirs for us that we still have. He was so unusually kind and generous in a world that otherwise wasn’t always, that at first I wondered why! (My cynical mind I guess) You should know that he spoke frequently and lovingly of you all- his mother and father and sister and brother, nieces and nephews. He was very clearly devoted to his family, as I’m sure you all were to him. My husband and I truly are so very sorry to hear the news of his passing. We hope that peace and comfort find you and that on the most difficult days some of the memories others have shared will help buoy your hearts. With deepest sympathy,

Mike, I just heard the news today.  Words cannot explain the way you helped me in life when I needed it the most and even when I didn’t need any at all, you were still there to provide some sort of knowledge. You were my career role model and you will continue to be. You will be missed. 

May you rest in peace Mike.  It was my pleasure to have you as a friend.  Thank you for all you did for me and the department.  You will forever be missed and thought of by all those you have touched.  My deepest condolences to the family.

Mike thank you so much for being part of my life! It ended sooner than it should of but you will forever be my brother. If it wasn’t for you our Car Show would never have grown to what it is today. My memories of you and what a great man, friend and brother you are will be honored and never forgotten for years to come at the Show. Rest In Peace you are truly missed. 

It was so great getting to know Mike while we were living in Uruguay and nice staying in touch in the years since. He was such a kind person and overall great guy and friend. His loss will certainly be felt around the world. Love, light, and prayers of comfort to those he left behind. 

It doesn’t matter how busy life gets, Mike will always take the time to talk to you. And it doesn’t matter how busy he is, he will drop everything to help me (and others) in need. 

He is the most caring person I know.  I miss you brother! Thank you for being such a good friend to me and Ivy Jane.
