Edward Joseph Hayes

Edward (Ed) Joseph Hayes passed away quietly at his home on October 9, 2022.

He was born January 14, 1935 in the State of Vermont.

Born to a large family of seven children, brothers and sisters, all but one (Annie), preceded him in death.

He is survived by his loving wife Heather Inez Hayes of 49 years, his children (Jennifer Leese, Vickie Tomeoni, and step-children Forrest and Kevin Pierson) grandchildren, great grandchildren, and family members who all adore him.

He served in the Army in the 1950’s in Germany as an entertainer. Ed was best known as an actor and impersonator. He was often seen in the Laguna Woods Theatre plays and productions.

He will be remembered by all for his loving smile, his voice and impersonations, and his laugh.

He retired from the U.S. Postal service after more than 30 years.

Burial will be at Fairhaven Cemetery in Santa Ana, at a private family service.

A celebration of life is tentatively scheduled for January 14, 2023, at a place to be named later.
