On May 15, 2018, Diane Ostin, 58, passed away at home, surrounded by her compassionate family, her beloved sons Michael and Matthew, and in the presence of her devoted husband, Harold. She was an inspiration to all as she courageously and gracefully battled breast cancer.
Born March 26, 1960, Diane Deorka grew up in New York, the daughter of Terry Deorka and Nancy Perry Deorka, and little sister to Denise Ciraldo (Salvatore) and Duane Deorka. In addition to her siblings, Diane will be deeply missed by her nieces Jennifer and Lisa, and her nephew Nick.
While working for the Mercedes Benz Corporation in their auto auction department, Diane met and fell in love with Harold Ostin. They began their life together in Costa Mesa, CA, and through the years created a loving home for their sons Michael and Matthew, as well as Diane’s faithful canine companion Cooper, in Laguna Hills, CA. The family’s many excursions near and far have filled memory books to the brim.
Diane loved taking care of her family and took pride in all of their accomplishments. Her beautiful spirit lives on in her children, Michael and Matthew, whom she cherished, as well as in her dedicated husband Harold.
The family would like to thank all those who spent time by her side, recounting fun times, watching the hockey playoffs, or simply holding her hand.
Diane will be laid to rest in a burial service on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 10:30 am at Pacific View Memorial Park, 3500 Pacific View Drive, Corona Del Mar, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Little Red Dog Foundation in Diane’s name would be appreciated.
