He was dedicated to God, his family and his work. He was a kind and loving partner to his wife Irma as well as an amazing father to his three daughters, Irma, Lorena and Marina and adored by his two grandchildren Ava and Owen, who’s Papa meant the world to them.
Fidel loved the outdoors, from fishing to hunting, he loved nothing more than taking his family out on drives to witness nature firsthand. He was always chasing sunsets in pursuit of the perfect picture. A man of music Fidel loved everything from classical to rock n roll and had an appreciation for the arts. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loved nothing more than to make them laugh and bring them together through good BBQ. He was always making someone smile. His kindness reached far and wide, always extending a helping hand without question and never expecting anything in return. His generosity was a bottomless well.
He is preceded in death by his mother Agueda, father Fidel and sister Aguedita.
He is survived by his wife Irma, daughters Irma, Lorena and Marina. Grandchildren Ava and Owen and by his eight siblings, San Juana Chavez, Arturo Chavez, Hector Chavez, Amanda Huerta, Leandro Chavez, Rosalio Chavez, Eusebio Chavez, Benito Chavez and Roel Chavez.
A public visitation for Fidel will be held Monday, September 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 3611 North Taylor Road, Mission, Texas 78573. A rosary will occur Monday, September 20, 2021 at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 620 N Dunlap Ave, Mission, Texas 78573. A burial will occur Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Valley Memorial Gardens, 3605 N Taylor Rd, Mission, Texas 78572.
