Arnie was a quiet, kind and loving man, and a rare native Californian, whose father was orphaned in the San Francisco earthquake.
Raised in Los Angeles, he witnessed the 1932 Olympic events, then went on to attend Beverly Hills High School. While there, he was all-city, as a proud member of their championship basketball team.
After serving in the U.S. Navy, Arnie graduated from UCLA, where he met his first love, Charlotte. Together the couple raised two children, Randy and Jill. And for many years, he worked for Fairchild-Hiller, an aerospace firm that contributed parts to the Apollo Space Program.
After Charlotte’s death, Arnie fell in love again, marrying Harriet, and they shared another wonderful lifetime together until his death.
Arnie is survived by his wife Harriet, son Randy (Sharon), daughter Jill (Kim), step-daughter Debbie (Randy), five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He’ll be sorely missed by one and all.
A funeral service for Arnold will be held Monday, October 7, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Groman Eden Chapel. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Eden Memorial Park, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd, Mission Hills, CA 91345.
