He will be sadly missed by his sister Blanch Lasseter (Wallbank) as well as his children, step children, foster children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great- grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his loving wife Margaret Iris Wallbank (Johnston) of 58 years, daughter Melody and step-daughter Linda.
John (Dad) was a veteran of WWII and we thank and salute him for his contributions in helping make Canada a free place to live.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home 7386 Horne Street, Mission on Friday July 12, 2013 at 11:00am. Following the service there will be a reception at the Royal Canadian Legion 32627 Logan Street, Mission.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all the staff at Dr. R.J. Stuart Pavillion for their support and kindness during John’s stay and especially in his final hours.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society and would be greatly appreciated.
