Jean was born in Tompkinsville, Reserve Mines, Cape Breton Nova Scotia on May 1, 1932 and passed away peacefully April 25, 2022. She is survived by her daughters Kathryn Kettler (Charles), Heather Hudniuk, Allison Adachi, Darren Hudniuk (son in law), grandchildren, Shelagh (Elliot), Trevor, Jason (Nicole), Michelle (Scott), Tryston (Jacquelyn), Devon (Abigail), 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Ian McNabb in 1981. Jean was one of 9 children and is survived by her siblings Eileen McIntyre, Larry McNabb (Bertie), Ray McNabb (Shirley), Rena Antle, Anna Rennie, and Kay McNabb (sister in law).
For many years Jean was involved with the Fraser Valley Highland Dancing Association. While her children were growing up Jean could most often be found ferrying her children to dancing or music lessons, soccer games, highland dancing or pipe band competitions, locally and internationally. Jean was also an amazing seamstress, sewing kilts, a wedding dress and many types of costumes for her children and grandchildren. In her later years Jean enjoyed painting, golf and travel, but primarily Jeans focus was her family. She always found time to host family dinners and celebrate special occasions.
Our mom will be especially remembered for her intense love and unfailing support of her family.
You will be forever in our hearts mom and we will miss you dearly.
