David Lund

September 10th 1935 - October 23rd 2017

Our Fun Loving, Funny David passed away suddenly at the age of 82 at The Abbotsford

Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Dave is survived by his wife of 61 years, Elinor Lund, his children Laura Dey (Martin), Ed

Lund (Cathy) and Jamie Lund (Stacey). Grandchildren, Adam Lund (Jessica), Katie

Brunsgaard (Kris), Luke and Breanna Lund. Sister Joy Vike (Harry), Sister in law Donna Fallas,

dog Rusty as well as many other loving relatives.

Dave spent his childhood and grew up to meet his loving and devoted wife Elinor in Burnaby,

BC. They were married in 1956 and shortly after, Dave’s Career with Dairyland moved them

and their family to Kamloops where they called home for 16 years.

If there was an award for most devoted hockey parent, Dave would have won by a landslide

as he could always be found watching or coaching either one of his sons Hockey games.

Hockey was a religion in the Lund household and it has run deep right through to Dave’s

Great Grandchildren. Dave enjoyed golfing, everything hockey, cooking and mainly just being with his family. His Friends and Family will always lovingly remember Dave as a kind, funny, always sarcastic

man with a big heart.

Our family would like to express our sincerest gratitude to both the Chilliwack General

Hospital ICU Team as well as the Abbotsford Regional Hospital ICU Team for the

exceptional care David received and for their compassion towards our family.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday November 4, 2017 from 1pm - 4pm at The

Promontory Lake Estates Clubhouse, 6001 Promontory Rd, Chilliwack, BC . Please bring

with you a written story or memory to contribute to a memory book for our family.

In lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to the BC Provincial Firefighters’ Burn Fund, or

the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
