Calvin Joseph Thomas

He was born February 12th, 1963 at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster.

Cal will be lovingly remembered by Janny, his loving wife of 34 years, his loving children Zachery (Victoria), Dylan, Claudia, Bethany (Gage), Adrian; his 4 grandchildren; Oliver, Rosalie, Everest, and Alistair; brothers Alan (Barb), Barry, Doug (Connie); sisters Pam (Maurice), Millie (Dave), Delrose (Ron), Karen (Brendan) and by all his many relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his father Milfred and his mother Therese.

Cal lived in Port Coquitlam until 1973, then the family moved to Steelhead. They then moved to Aldergrove in 1979. Cal began his logging career at the age of 16. He became a tree faller at the age of 21. He met his sweetheart Janny when he was falling up in the Queen Charlotte Islands. They got married in 1992 and had 4 beautiful children together. Cal was an amazing exceptional man / husband / father who seemed good at almost everything. He had an adventurous spirit, amazing storytelling abilities, as well as a top-notch cook and baker. Cal will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A viewing for friends and family was held on August 12, 2022 at 2:00pm at Woodlawn Mission Funeral Home.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday October 15th, 2022 at 2:00pm at the Deroche Hall. 41555 N. Nicomen Rd, Deroche, BC.

If family and friends so desire, memorial donation may be made to Suicide Prevention programs or Mental Health and Addiction programs.
