Wayne Huntley

Wayne was born on May 9, 1938 in Washington, DC to the late Franklin and Beatrice Huntley.

Well over 57 years ago, Wayne created the F.W. Huntley Construction Company. He loved to travel. So much so, that he had his own plane. Some of his favorite destinations included Sedona, Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada. Much of his free time was also spent at his beach house.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Annette Draper Huntley and son, Kenny Huntley.

He leaves behind his girlfriend, Shirley Byrd, his children; Darryl (Tamarra) Huntley, Gregg (Wanda) Huntley and Ricky Huntley, grandchildren; Christian and Adam Huntley and Alecia Mounixay, sister, Verlene (Frank) Hoffecker; as well as niece, Jennifer Eggerichs and nephew, Jeff Price.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 4th, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00am at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd. Mint Hill, NC 28227. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am. Wayne will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill.
