James Patrick Kennedy

James Kennedy, formerly of Rochester, New York went to be with the Lord on the morning of July 9th after a long illness. He proudly served the United States Post Office as a letter carrier for 35 years before his retirement in May of 2002. After retiring, James Kennedy moved to Charlotte, NC to be close to family.

James was predeceased by his loving parents, Thomas Peter and Charlotte Michael Kennedy, and brother Thomas Kennedy

He is survived by his siblings Kathleen (Charles) Fritz, Patricia Kennedy, Susan Kennedy, Daniel (Gloria) Kennedy and

sisters-in-law Laura (Keith) Gayden, and Ginny (Tom) Kennedy-Tette.

James was a proud Godfather and uncle to Christine (Joseph) DeCastro and Marybeth Kennedy. He was also a proud uncle to Lisa (Steven) Bradley, Sheila Kennedy, Thomas (Christine) Kennedy, Gregory (Victoria) Kennedy and Irene (Patrick) Kennedy-Wyllie

James was blessed to meet and spend time with his great nieces and nephews, Joshua, John Carlos, Joseph, Josiah, Danny, Jack, Rebecca, Shannon, Larry, Leah, Marylynn, Evan and Patrick

James was also survived by many friends including Joseph (Beverly) Grippo and many loving cousins.

James Kennedy “Jimmy” thrived on spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service will be held
