Emily grew up playing volleyball, softball, and basketball. She graduated from Ardrey Kell High School. She is an avid Carolina Tarheels and Carolina Panthers fan. Emily enjoyed arts and crafts with her daughter, Skylar. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and never met a stranger.
She is survived by her daughters, Skylar Leathers (7) and Haizlee Patterson (3 months) and her father, Chase Patterson; mother, Lisa Leathers; grandparents, Van and Carol Leathers; honorary grandmother, Fairy Ragan; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her grandmother, Sandra Leathers; grandparents, Bob and Mary Patton.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 9, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with visitation to be held one hour prior.
