Quinn was born April 29, 1933 in Monroe, NC, to the late Otho Bigham and Loree Wiles. In 1951, shortly after graduation from high school, she married the love of her life, William Boyce Wallace and they enjoyed 52 years together until his death in 2003.
Her passions were her church, where she spent many years in the nursery and on the prayer chain, as well as cooking excellent meals for the sick or grieving members of the church.
She worked for 20 years at Hanford’s as a flower design copier making beautiful flower arrangements and Christmas decorations.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Mack Wiles of Monroe.
She is survived by her two children, Michelle (husband, Joe) of Midland and Steve (wife, Lisa) of Concord; her “next door daughter,” Barbara Tate; and her two grandchildren, Matthew (wife, Lisa) and their daughter, Rylie, of Mint Hill, Madeleine (husband, Andrew) of Concord. She is also survived by two brothers, Olin Wiles of Hickory and Jimmy Wiles of Concord; and her two sisters, Nan (husband, Bill) Helms of Iron Station and Candice Ossman of Monroe.
A celebration of life service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, June 6, at Calvary Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. John Bremer and the Rev. McCray Holmes officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask for contributions to Calvary Church of the Nazarene, Hospice and Palliative Care, Charlotte Region and Humane Society of Charlotte.
