Nancy Marguerite Hasse

She was preceded in death by her Grandparents; her father (Robert) and mother (Marguerite “Peggy”) Heine; and her nephew, Brian Stuedeman. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Larry Hasse;

daughter, Krista (Darin) Riedel, and grand-daughter, Haleigh Riedel; sister, Linda (Reno) Stuedeman; Nephew, Doug (Mary) Stuedeman; and great-nephews, Alex and Cole Stuedeman; as well as many cherished friends.

Nancy was born and raised in St. Paul. A true Minnesotan. She was a graduate of Hamline University where she majored in Psychology and Elementary Education. Nancy and Larry were married on August 15, 1981, and celebrated their 42nd anniversary this past year. Nancy held various jobs in her lifetime from being a Target cashier at (T1) to her last at the University of MN as Principal Accounts Specialist, and Accounting Supervisor for the Biochemistry department. She retired in 2016 after being a dedicated worker for 28 years. Beyond work, Nancy also volunteered at many organizations including, TCOTC (Twin Cities Obedience Training Club), University of Minnesota Raptor Center as an education volunteer with the clinic, a volunteer and board member for the Como Zoo Docent Association, now Como Friends, KCC (Korean Culture Camp) volunteer, and Church music volunteer.

In 1987, Krista was adopted from Korea and life was nonstop. Nancy supported Krista in her many hobbies including softball, soccer, and basketball games, and many, many, many music concerts for choir, flute, and handbells even into Krista’s adult life. Nancy was most excited to meet and get to know her granddaughter, Haleigh, who was born in 2022. We join to remember Nancy’s vigor, strength, endurance, ethic, and even stubbornness...qualities that we will all hold dear and never forget.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials directly to the family are preferred. Memorials will be designated accordingly.
