Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Berthin and Emma Austvold; sisters, Borghild and Irene; brother, Norman; husband, Ed; son, Mike; step-son, Lee. Ethel will be deeply missed by her niece, Julie and co-caregiver Joe; nephew, John (Pam); daughter-in-law, Vicky; step-children, Terry and Patty; grandchildren, Sean, Dylan, Tracey, Shelby, Christy, Steven, Michael and Jory; great-grandson, Johnathan. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family.
Ethel spent her first 18 years in rural Glenwood, MN. She then moved to Rochester, MN and became a Nurse Anesthesiologist, where she worked for the V.A. in Dallas, Long beach and Las Vegas. Ethel liked warm weather and came to visit relatives and friends in MN every summer. She loved going to cabins and playing cards. Husband Ed and Ethel raised 4 children together.
Visitation will begin at 10:30am followed by funeral service at 11am on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Chapel, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd NE, Minneapolis. Interment at Sunset Cemetery.
