Mrs. Elizabeth A. Hanson

She was born on September 29, 1923, in Minneapolis, MN, to Samuel Bert and Anna (Carlson) Green. She was married on May 3, 1952, to Clifford L. Hanson, at the Minneapolis Gospel Tabernacle. They had two daughters, Janice and Judy.

Betty was a graduate of South High School and North Central Bible Institute, both in Minneapolis. During her college years she was employed at Troy Laundry.

During their lifetime together, Betty and Cliff lived in St. Louis Park, Richfield, and Maplewood, Minnesota. In 2010 Betty moved to the Seattle area to be near her daughter Judy.

Betty was an excellent bookkeeper and worked for many years at Richview Nursing Home. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, reading, going fishing with Cliff, and visiting with relatives and friends. Over the years Betty and Cliff were active at Bloomington Assembly of God, Bethel Assembly of God, and Redeeming Love Church in Maplewood.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Jan McCurdy of Baton Rouge, LA, and Judy (Dan) Orr of Des Moines, WA; 3 grandchildren, Grant (Heather) McCurdy of Houston, TX, Kelly (Matt) Austin of Salem, OR, and Kyle (Katie) Orr of Salem, OR; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Irene Loven, husband Clifford, and grandson LCPL Ryan McCurdy, USMC.

Funeral: 2 PM Friday, at Sunset Funeral Home, 2250 St. Anthony Blvd. NE, Mpls. Visitation 1 hr prior.
