Baggett served in the Army as a military police officer before returning to his home of Chumuckla, where he worked for 26 years as a computer analyst for the Santa Rosa county Property Appraiser. He was a devout member of the True Grace Worship Church, and he loved spending afternoons reading his bible and tending to a beautiful garden behind his home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Baggett, and mother, Evia Baggett.
He is survived by his five children, Terry L. Paul, Robert E. Paul, Jennifer M. Baggett, Rhonda G. Lowe and Rodney Baggett; brothers, Thomas Baggett, Johnny Baggett and Bill Baggett; sisters, Lanelle Cross, Laverle Nobley, Minnie Carnley, Audrey Mae Carnley, Mollie Uselton and Jean Crongeyer; along with six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 14, 2015 at 2 PM at National Cremation & Burial Society with Pastor Duke Barrow and Pastor Wayne Riddlebaugh officiating. Interment will follow at Elizabeth Chapel with Robert “Bob” Burgess, Speedy Vaughn, Bubba Drinkard, Steve Jones, Jason Kimbrell and Pete Confusione serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Jernigan, Tim Spayd, J.B. Hudson, Sandy Wyatt, Gordon Howell, Greg Brown and Cameron Kimbrell. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 5 until 7 PM.
National Cremation & Burial Society of Milton has charge of the arrangements.
