Susan Olsen, age 75, of Ridge, New York, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Susan was a vibrant and social individual, deeply cherished by her family and friends. Her warmth and zest for life were evident in all she did.
Susan is survived by her devoted husband, William Olsen; her son Graig Olsen and his wife Diane; her daughter Pamela Palladino and her husband Randy; and her son Kevin Olsen and his wife Tiffany. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Mary Suto, and her adoring grandchildren: Nicholas Palladino, Grace Palladino, Rebecca Olsen, Justin Olsen, Sophia Olsen, and Amelia Olsen.
A proud member of the Leisure Glen community, Susan was known for her engaging personality and love for socializing. She enjoyed sharing a cocktail (or two) with friends and was a familiar face at local Bingo and Canasta games. Her passion for reading was unmatched, and she delighted in traveling, especially with her beloved husband. A lifelong New York Yankees fan, Susan’s spirit and enthusiasm for the team were infectious.
A visitation for Susan will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, located at 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, NY 11764.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the External Service Location, 200 Belle Terre Rd, Port Jefferson, NY 11777. Following the mass, a committal and interment will take place at Calverton National Cemetery, Wading River, NY 11792, from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM.
Susan will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her memory will be cherished, and her legacy of love, laughter, and community spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her.
