In good old Brooklyn on March 12th, 1938, Bob was born to Margret and Alex Cannon. The oldest of three children with a brother and sister. He went to the local’s schools in Park Slope. Spent his teenagers’ years in the best of the 1950’s. In High School he was elected to Boys Exec and following year was elected to Senior Class President. Graduated Pace University in NYC and was in the Air National Guard for six years. Married for 57 years to Mary. Had four wonderful children. He had his own employment business in the NY financial area. Involved in the Boys Scouts for over 25 years and helped and lead many boys including his two sons to Eagle Scout. Converted to Catholicism and has been involved and active in the church.
Retired and moved to Leisure Village twenty years ago. He was active in the St Marks Men’s Club, enjoyed the Golf & Garden Clubs, and many social activities. The Catholic Daughters considered him an honoree member because of all his help. He has been involved and enjoying all of his grandchildren’s sports activities and watching their games over the years.
He was kind and quick-witted man that his family and friends so enjoyed being in his company. Even his nurses and doctors said it was a pleasure to help him.
The angels came for him on September 8th, 2020 and will sincerely be missed by all that he met during his lifetime. Now he will be a welcome in Gods heaven.
