Patrick Wilson, age 79, of Riverhead, passed away on February 24, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was predeceased by his brother Ronnie, but leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Patrick's life was marked by profound connections and vibrant experiences. He is survived by his devoted wife Lynn, with whom he shared 14 years of marriage, and his daughters Cheryl Lyons, Gina Calado, and Denise McKinney. His grandchildren Brooke, Jamie, Nicki, Katie, Kylee, and Shannon were a constant source of joy and pride for him. Patrick also leaves behind his beloved pets, Fritz, Daphne, Bailey, and Chloe, who provided him with companionship and comfort.
As a CPA, Patrick's professional life was marked by diligence and dedication. He was not only successful in his career but also served as a sponsor for many, offering guidance and support to those in need. Outside of work, Patrick embraced life with passion and enthusiasm. He found solace in fishing and meditation, cherished the camaraderie of his AA companions, and delighted in attending concerts and indulging in his love for music and reading.
Patrick's culinary skills were renowned, stemming from his upbringing in the Deli and later owning one himself for many years. He had a fondness for the simple pleasures in life, whether it was enjoying muscles at Phil’s or savoring burgers at the diner after an AA meeting. His love for fast cars and his trusty pickup truck reflected his adventurous spirit and love for the open road.
Florida held a special place in Patrick's heart, where he found tranquility sitting on his lanai, surrounded by the warmth of the sun. He was a man who cherished his family above all else, having raised his three daughters as a single father until he found happiness with Lynn. Patrick's dedication to his girls was unwavering, and he took great pride in being not only their father but also their best friend.
Patrick Wilson will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and zest for life. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the memories he created and the lives he touched. May he rest in peace, forever cherished and dearly missed.
