Modestina Andrusco

Born with a spirit of kindness and resilience, Modestina dedicated her life to her family and community. Her warmth and generosity touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Throughout her life, she was a pillar of strength, love, and unwavering support to her family and friends.

Modestina was predeceased by her daughter in law, Marie. She leaves behind her cherished children, Donna and Thomas, who will forever hold dear the memories and values their mother instilled in them. She was a loving grandmother to Thomas J. Andrusco, Brittney Musillo, Lenny Musillo, and Melissa Martino, and a cherished great-grandmother to Aubree and Dominic Musillo. Modestina was also a beloved sister to Maggie, Jenny, Annie, and Dominic, and a wonderful cat mom to Petey.

Modestina had a fulfilling career as a file clerk with American Express. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, music, and traveling. Her favorite places to visit were Hawaii and California. She will be remembered most for her love of family and friends, her joy in gathering for holidays, and her avid love for pets.

Modestina Andrusco’s life was a testament to the power of love, family, and community. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 134 Middle Country Rd, Coram, NY 11727. An interment will occur Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3442 NY-112, Coram, NY 11727.
