It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Helen Margaret Walsh on April 27. Helen leaves behind a loving family including her daughter Elizabeth and her son Larry, along with his wife Laura. She is also survived by her brothers Thomas, Patrick, and Gregory, as well as her cherished grandchildren Ashlyn, Jordan, and Bliss, and her great-grandchildren Serena and Helena.
Helen had a profound love for animals, especially her beloved pets King, Penny, Ralphy, Lily, Lunch, Betty, and Falcon. Her compassionate nature extended beyond her family and pets, touching many lives within her community.
Helen was a cornerstone of the family business, Body Source, where her dedication and hard work earned her the status of a local legend. Her career journey began as a high school history teacher, where she inspired countless students, and later transitioned into a successful businesswoman who contributed significantly to her community.
Helen’s passions included gardening, tennis, and community service. She volunteered her time as the treasurer and landscaping coordinator for Condo 4 in Bretton Woods, where her efforts left a lasting mark.
Known for her extreme generosity and charitable spirit, Helen supported numerous causes and was a pillar of the Miller Place community. Her fierce dedication to her children, her family, and her community was evident in all she did. Helen’s influence and contributions have left an indelible impact on many lives, and her legacy will continue to inspire and benefit generations to come.
Helen Margaret Walsh was a special lady who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her spirit and love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
