Adeline Rasmuson

Adeline Rasmuson, 95, of East Setauket, NY, died October 9. Born February 25, 1922 in Queens, NY, she was the daughter of the late Bernard & Marie Rydout and loving wife of Douglas Rasmuson. Adeline & Douglas moved to Rocky Point in the early 1950's where she worked at Rocky Point Post Office for a few years before she became the Administrative Assistant to the Principal of Rocky Point School. She worked for the School District for over 20 years before retiring to her home in Rocky Point. In 2010, Douglas & Adeline became residents of Sunrise Living in East Setauket. Adeline was predeceased by her dear husband of 68 years and her son, Karl Rasmuson. She is survived by her children, Linda (Rasmuson) Ventimiglia and her husband Lester Ventimiglia; Bruce Rasmuson and his wife Peggy; & Scott Rasmuson and his wife, Lori; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A gathering of family & friends was held at O. B. Davis Funeral Home, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, NY 11764 Monday 10-10:30 AM, followed by interment at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY.
