Keith Adams Moore was born to Clarence and Luella Adams Moore in Salt Lake City on November 6, 1929. He died of natural causes due to age in Salt Lake City on November 1, 2023. He attended East High, Class of 1947, and graduated in music from the University of Utah in 1953. He served an LDS mission to eastern Canada, 1950-52, and in the military, 1953-55, a stenographer to 7th Army, Stuttgart, Germany. He taught English and music at the College of Eastern Utah, 1958-59, and at Utah State University in 1967. He held secretarial jobs with the Postal Service and with railroads, hospitals and lawyers while pursuing a writing career. He leaves a large body of poems, short stories and novels, some published (Western Humanities Review, Autumn 1966) and some self-printed. He was editor and writer for The Cache Citizen, Smithfield, Utah, 1973-74. He produced two literary magazines, Westbound in 1967, and Wasatch Poetry and Prose, 2003-04, in Special Collections at Marriott Library. He taught piano, and served in church as organist and pianist. He loved animals and cared for and fed strays all his life, especially cats. He is preceded in death by parents; four brothers, Weldon, Raleigh, Gene and Charles Moore; two sisters, Ardith Anne Boyd and Gladys Whiting. A graveside service prior to interment held November 9, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive.
