Jeffrey Donald Smith was born on December 22, 1949, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Donald Hale and Eunice White Smith. He passed away unexpectedly at his home on February 15, 2024, in Taylorsville, Utah due to heart complications.
After graduating from Highland High School, Jeff joined the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War, and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan.
Jeff enjoyed sports, softball, and especially golf. He was very talented when it came to woodworking. He could practically build anything and he really enjoyed building projects for others. Jeff really enjoyed being around family, especially the kids and grandkids. Jeff will be missed by all of those who loved him.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Candie Smith of Taylorsville, Utah; 3 children, Jodie Smith of Murray, Utah; Cindy Bullivant of Clearfield, Utah; and Keith Huntington of Centerville, Utah; brother, David P. Smith of Millcreek, Utah; and sister, Kaye (Randy) Land of Colorado.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Eunice Smith; sisters, Julie Ann Bunn of Colorado, and Nancy Martinez of Midvale, Utah.
