Salt Lake City, Utah-James Armand Tweedie, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away from cancer on June 7, 2013 at the age of 78. He was born August 30, 1934 in Hurricane, Utah to Flora Workman and David Hume Tweedie. He attended Utah State University and graduated from the University of Utah. He served an LDS mission to New Zealand and served in the Utah National Guard during the Berlin Crisis. He married Margene Cornaby in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on November 25, 1958. Armand taught mathematics at South High School. Later became a Systems Analyst for Honeywell and other computer companies. He had a strong work ethic and didn't retire until he was 75 years old. Armand was a devoted member of the LDS Church, held many church callings and enjoyed being an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He is survived by his wife, Margene, and their beloved children: (daughter) Lisa (RL) Peay and two grandchildren: Rashelle Nicole and Juston James Peay, and (son) David Allen. He is also survived by his siblings: Barbara (Robert) Poulson; Florine (Bill) Morris; Charliene (Frank) Reed; and Mary Helen Parsons. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Wilden Tweedie. Viewing held on Wednesday, Jun 12th from 6 to 8 pm at Wasatch lawn Mortuary. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 12:00 pm with visitation one hour prior to service at the Millstream Ward, 3400 South 1100 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive, SLC, Utah.
