In Loving memory of Harold Wayne Berry Sr. Born May 9, 1929, in Phoenix, Arizona to Oron Waldo and Maudie Jewell Berry. Back in the time when doctors made house calls Wayne was delivered by his Grandmother while waiting for the doctor to come.
Wayne attended High School in Ontario, California, he later moved back to phoenix Arizona. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of the latter-day saints in the Eastern Central states mission in 1949. Wayne married Emily Urry on August 3, 1953, who passed after many loving years together. Then Wayne married Joy who he loved so dearly and were inseparable. Together they had 11 Children, 46 grandchildren and 67 great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Joy, and 9 children. Christine, Pam, Suzi, Mark, Mary, Linda, Annie, Wayne, and Amy, also 42 grandchildren, and 67 great grandchildren. Wayne and Joy served a mission together in Birmingham, Alabama Mission serving in city of Camden in 1999. Wayne Aged to Perfection and graduated from his earthly life so full of Love and a deep understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was greeted in Heaven by his son Kim, daughter Judy, and 4 grandchildren. Wayne is the most loving, patient, kind, and understanding husband, father and grandfather with a witty sense of humor. He was a veteran who proudly served his country and everyone he came in contact with. Wayne had a great love for family history, and Temple work, he was also a very skilled craftsman in the art of woodworking. Wayne was a devout member of Jesus Christ of the latter-day saints.
He will greatly be missed and by all who knew and loved him and will always be remembered.
The Viewing will be held Thursday June 6th 6-8 pm at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary 3401 S Highland Dr. Millcreek, Utah 84106. A viewing prior to the funeral service will take place from 10am-10:45am. The Funeral will be Friday June 7th 11:00am at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary 3401 S Highland Dr. Millcreek, Utah 84106.
