1937-2023
Gloria was born in Ferndale, Michigan to Stefano and Teresa Molinar. She was the youngest of four children, having two brothers and a sister, Stephen, Arthur and Katherine.
Gloria attended Lincoln High School in Michigan where she met the love of her life, Ken Brown. They have been together since 10th grade and had just celebrated 62 years of marriage when Ken passed away in 2020.
Ken and Gloria lived in many places in Michigan, Ohio and Washington until settling in Utah in 1973.
Together, they loved traveling. Their favorite places included Hawaii, Mexico, Coos Bay, Oregon and the family cottage in Interlochen,Michigan.
Together, Ken and Gloria had three daughters, Lisa, Lori, and Cheryl. Gloria, aka “Nanny”, loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Gloria was an executive assistant at Utah Medical Insurance Association for many years until she retired.
Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family, reading a good book, and watching every show on HGTV. She loved decorating her home and took great care of her flowers.
She loved her grandkids Jessica, Aubrey, Kyle and Marcus and her two great grandsons, Odin and Lars.
Gloria loved to play games with them and would have everyone laughing in a good game of Michigan Rummy or Skip Bo.
Gloria is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Lisa Brown-Mallwitz (Tony), Lori Brown-Winrow (Mike, deceased) and Cheryl Brown-Jones (Mike). Four grandchildren, Jessica Mallwitz, Kyle Mallwitz, Aubrey Jones-Woodruff (Daniel) and Marcus Jones. Two great grandsons, Odin and Lars Woodruff, her brothers, Steve (Vivian) Molinar, Art (Mary, deceased) Molinar and sister Kay (Harry, deceased) Panagos and many nieces and nephews who loved Aunt Gloria.
Services will be held Thursday, May 4th, 2023 at 11:00 am at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary where she will be laid to rest with her beloved, Ken.
