George is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linda Page Wiggs, and he was predeceased by his parents
George Ralph Wiggs and Hattie Maria Bates Wiggs.
He was predeceased by his four sisters: Betty, who lived in Salt Lake City and Kissimmee, Florida; his twin sisters Dora and Doris, and his youngest sister Maxine, all of whom lived in the Rose Park area. He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews..
He worked for 30 years at Utah Industries for the Blind, Utah's leading nonprofit membership organization for people who are blind or visually impaired.
George loved country/western music, and spent hours recording his favorite songs onto cassette tapes. He was also a huge fan of western novels, especially classics written by authors such as Louis L’Amour and Zane Grey. He also enjoyed novels and popular TV shows including Perry Mason and Murder, She Wrote.
Visitation will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Cemetery at 3401 S. Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah, on Wednesday, October 16, at 10:00 am, followed by a graveside service and his interment at Wasatch Lawn at 11:00 am.
George’s family suggests donations to favorite charities in lieu of flowers.
