Elaine Orr

Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Elaine Crawford Orr, passed away on January 17 ,2021. Born July 8, 1934 in Helper, Utah to Clifford Lamont Crawford and lda Mae Nuttall Crawford. Married Marvin William Orr on March 19, 1955, sealed in the Salt Lake Temple January 31, 1961.

Elaine decided on January 17th that she was ready for the next chapter. She is free of pain and has joined her eternal companion.

She had fond memories of growing up in Helper, Utah. A career with the phone company starting in Price and ending in Salt Lake City, as a Manager in Operator Services.

She was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a temple worker in the Salt Lake Temple as well as other callings in her ward. Throughout her life she was also involved in community; a sorority that did gift wrap at the Mall, rummage sales and other community projects. Prior to moving to St. George, two years ago, she was also involved with the Citizen Advisory Board at the East Millcreek Senior Center.

She was talented in painting. She painted a few pictures that she sold copies of and generously gave to her family. Which are treasured possessions. She also enjoyed making greeting cards, scrapbooking, and other crafts, eating out and spending time with friends.

Elaine left a loving family, Lisa Schauerhamer (Craig), Steven, Michael (Heidi), Matthew (Jeri), 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She also has an extended family that she enjoyed very much.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East. Due to COVID-19 precautions attendance at the funeral is for family only, however everyone is invited to watch the services online by scrolling to the bottom of Elaine’s obituary page at HolbrookMortuary.com, where the services will remain available to watch for 90 days. There will not be a viewing the night before the service. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
