Dodee was born July 17, 1956 to James Robert and Helen Winona Brown. She returned home to her Father in Heaven on September 2nd, 2023 from complications of a brain tumor. Her children are Kelli, Valerie, Katie, and Tyler. She has 15 grandchildren and many friends that she loved with all her heart. Her parents James and Helen were stationed in Darmstadt Germany when Dodee was born at the Frankfurt Germany Army Hospital. She is survived by her loving husband Dennis of 35 years as well as her children Kelli (Jon), Valerie (Alberto), Katie (DJ), Tyler, and grandchildren. As well as her brother in-law Kenneth Gammons, nieces Kathy Robinson and Kim Minor of Tennessee.
While her father was stationed in Hawaii she graduated from Radford HS in 1974 in Honolulu Hawaii.
She was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lexington Kentucky in 1978. She was always grateful for that decision and always shared her testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and served Him to the best of her ability in anything she was asked to do.
She was preceded in death by both parents, brother Dean and sisters Denise Gammons and Diana Brown.
Always a friend to those she met. She never missed an opportunity to get to know someone and make a connection. Her personality was one of kindness, happiness, service, and devotion to God and family. She was full of life, and spoke straight forward of who she was and what she believed.
We will always love and miss her presence, sense of humor, joyous laugh, wonderful cooking, and her wonderful smile.
