Dora Mary Padilla Herrera left this world on Monday October 7th, 2019. Dora was born on March 4th, 1938 in Monte Vista Colorado, she moved to Salt Lake City when she was 8 years old. She worked as a sewer at St Regis and it changed names to Stone Container and she worked there for over 47 years when she turned 65 she retired and enjoyed her days taking scenic rides through the mountains and she loved hitting the slot machines if it was in Wendover or Las Vegas, even the Indian reservations throughout Idaho and Colorado. She is survived by her children Velma Chacon (Marcos), Ben Moya, Cindy Reyes (Jose), Justice Jensen (Cody), Thomas Leon Herrera, and Priscilla Karren (Winston). She also had 14 Grandchildren, 38 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Jose Lorenzo Herrera of 30 years, her mother Lizzie and her brother Dickie Padilla. Viewing will be held on Monday October 14th Wasatch Lawn Memorial 3401 S Highland Drive at 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. and services will be held Tuesday October 15th at 2 p.m. Mom you’re cooking will be missed terribly especially during the holidays your homemade tortillas, tamales, biscochitos, and Chili Verde and papa’s. We all know your back in Dad’s arms again and we know you are in your happy place!!! We love you and you will be deeply missed. Yes, mom you can finally have a CAR!!!
