Charles "Chuck" Ellis Layton passed away February 25, 2019, at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray City, Utah after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, water skiing, boating, and was passionate with his involvement in Airsoft.
Chuck was an amazing son, brother, and uncle to his family, and an awesome friend to many.
He was deeply loved by his family and leaves a void in our hearts that will never be filled. He was generous, kind, thoughtful, loved children, and was a quiet guy with an amazing sense of humor and quick wit.
Chuck is preceded in death by his father, Charles Hyde Layton. He is survived by his mother, Karen (Layton) Catten, his sisters, Kimberly (Clinger) Hansen and Michelle (Clinger) Knuckles, nieces and nephews Kristin Jones, Lacey (Sweat) Boehmer, Christopher Worthen, Cole Knuckles, Connor Knuckles, and many great nieces and nephews who will miss him greatly.
A funeral will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah with a viewing from 12:00-1:45p.m. Interment will follow at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 S., Salt Lake City, Utah.
