William Wesley Whitaker

WHITAKER, William Wesley , 89, OF Midlothian, passed away with his dear wife of 68 years by his side, Alice Gleason Whitaker, on August 24, 2011. He is survived by his children, Susan Whitaker Gaskill and her husband, Wayne, Cynthia Whitaker Walton and her husband, Michael, Robbin Whitaker Turner and her two daughters, Amy Lynn Reinhardt and her husband Mike, and Katy Ann Turner; and many nieces and nephews. He was a retired employee of ITT Continental Baking Company with 25 years of service. His loves were his family, his time at the river, gardening, and his passion was serving others. The family will receive friends at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday (today). Funeral services will be held 12 noon at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 9600 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, Va. 23235.
