IN THE CARE OF
Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel
Susan Lynn Wimmer passed away December 28, 2018, at Chippenham Hospital after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Wimmer, and her brother, David Wimmer. Sue is survived by her mother, Pauline Wimmer; her husband of 18 years, Joe Abbott; her sons, Justin Crenshaw (Jenny Neubert) and Mitchel Crenshaw. Also her sister, Pam Digges (Tom); her brother, Bill Wimmer (Brenda); nieces, Carrie Digges-Tolgyesi and Katie Wimmer; and nephew, Jason Digges. Ed Crenshaw, the father of her sons, also survives.
Sue was a devoted mother and was excited about becoming a grandmother in the spring; her granddaughter will surely have an Angel on her shoulder.
Susan managed several GNC stores in the area until her retirement in 2017. She was loving, friendly, funny, a good cook, a reader and a painter. Sue saw the beauty in all of Nature and loved all animals, particularly the neighborhood cats. She leaves a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.
A memorial service is planned for Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel, 1020 Huguenot Rd., Midlothian, VA 23113. Family will receive friends one hour prior. Online condolences may be made at www.woodyfuneralhomehuguenot.com
